Scott Mayer

With over 35 years experience in healing, meditation and martial arts, Scott understands both the science and art of bodywork. Having studied with dozens of internationally prominent teachers, he brings a broad perspective to his work.  He is a licensed Massage Therapy, Master level Qi Healer and holds certifications as a Qigong Therapist and Hypnotherapist with a focus on pain management.  In his 22 years of therapeutic bodywork he has worked with over 25,000 people, he specializes in Shiatsu and CranioSacral Therapy.  He has conducted hundreds of classes and lectures at medical schools, universities, massage schools and Five Star resort spas throughout the East Coast.

Scott is the founder of the Plum Blossom Zen Shiatsu Association and maintains professional affiliations with the American Massage Therapy Association, the National Guild of Hypnotists, the Wudang Daoist Association and the Chinese Healing Arts Center.  He holds a degree in Immunology and Biochemistry, has worked as a cancer research scientist at Harvard Medical School, an Information Technology Manager for NY/NJ universities, owned and operated an award winning Botanicals business with Susan.  His passions include studies in herbalism, organic gardening, passive solar design, photography and music.
